Barkat pharmaceutical industrial town was built as the first specialized pharmaceutical town in the country with the aim of creating a suitable platform for the development of the pharmaceutical industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Expansion and centralization of research and development centers on one hand and advanced pharmaceutical factories on the other hand is one of the most important goals of this town. Providing the pharmaceutical needs of the country, attracting knowledge, capital and international participation and developing pharmaceutical exports are among the other goals of this town.
